Chairman,Department. Library and Information Science, and also
In-charge IT CentreBangalore University, Bangalore, has a rich blend
of experience as practitionerand  an accomplished teacher for morethan
four and a half decades in the country. A Ph.D. from Gulbarga
University, didresearch in Library Classification. He has also imbibed
expertise inInformation Technology and taught to MCA, MBA and MIEB
programmes. Hisexperience has blend of traditional and modern
knowledge of LIS. He hassuccessfully guided 8 Ph. Ds. He was a Member
of the Core Committee of CDC ofUGC for the preparation of LIS
Curriculum and was responsible for thepreparation of the Status
Report. He has Ten books to his credit, and nearly200 Papers. He has
completed 4 Research Projects. He is also member of the AdvisoryPanel
